Nike Waffle
Break the Mold
As the first invention of Nike—the Waffle was born from a spirit of
experimentation and imagination. To celebrate it’s 40th anniversary, we wanted to tell the stories of three crazy young inventors pushing the boundaries of what’s possible: e-waste (re)maker Marta; satirical problem solver Minwook; and gaming & robotics enthusiast Nina.

Especially for the occasion, the inventors were invited to create something
inspired by the Nike Waffle. From ‘The Waffle Shoe Sole Machine’ to ‘Gaming Controller Shoes’ the result embodied the incredible imagination that started it all decades ago.
